The goal of HSBC is to manage a no-kill shelter where all healthy and treatable (underage, sick, injured and poorly behaved) shelter dogs and cats can find loving new homes as quickly as possible. Also, to end the needless destruction of companion animals by working with our local animal control to reduce the number of animals in their care. Additionally, to encourage spay and neutering by offering the community a low-cost alternative through Operation Spay Bay (a coalition of rescue groups which includes the HSBC), promote humane education to our youth and the community in general.
